Requiem: A Musical History

Requiem: A Musical History

All Soul's Day
November 2 at 8PM

On All Souls’ Day, many choirs and choral groups perform settings of the Requiem Mass. Tune in November 2 at 8PM as Phoenix-area bass singer Charles Newton takes you on a trip through the ages and introduces you to some of the most memorable settings of the Mass.

You'll hear early Gregorian chants, the first surviving polyphonic setting, Romantic masterpieces, avant-guarde 20th century works, and a contemporary Requiem you may not have heard yet.

Requiem: A Musical History, November 2 at 8PM on 89.5 and on your smart speaker.
