This past month the Valley's Sonoran Desert Chorale presented The Requiem for the Fallen: a concert honoring the heroes of this nation who have given "the last full measure of devotion" in service to our country. It was a prelude to the chorale’s European tour, where they performed in Normandy as part of the official 70th Anniversary of D-Day.

Local conductor Keitaro Harada grew up in Japan—and with the comic, Nodame Cantabile. He chats with Sterling Beeaff about the comic’s influence in revitalizing Japan’s classical music scene.
