The Phoenix Chamber Music Society (PCMS) presents its 15th annual festival from March 2-8 at various locations throughout the Valley. KBACH's Greg Kostraba chatted with the festival's Artistic Director David Shifrin about his history with the PCMS and the variety of performers and music during this year's festival.

The Arizona Bach Festival presents its 15th annual festival from February 25 through March 17. KBACH's Greg Kostraba chatted with the chairman of the festival's board of directors Don Morse about the origins of the organization, as well as this year's festival, which consists of chamber music, concertos, orchestral suites, and an opening organ recital.

The Phoenix Chamber Music Society presents the Isidore Quartet in concert at Central United Methodist Church in Phoenix, Saturday, February 10 at 7:30pm. KBACH's Greg Kostraba chatted with the quartet's violist Devin Moore about the program, which includes the String Quartet in C Major, Op. 20 No. 2 by Joseph Haydn, the String Quartet No. 2 "Awakening" by Billy Childs, and Ludwig van Beethoven's String Quartet No. 15 in A minor, Op. 132.

Jeffrey Siegel (pictured) continues his Keyboard Conversations series at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts Tuesday, February 6 at 7:30pm. KBACH's Greg Kostraba chatted with the pianist about the program titled "A French Feast," which includes Franz Liszt's arrangement of the Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saëns, and works by Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré, Erik Satie, Maurice Ravel, and Francis Poulenc.

Conductor Warren Cohen (pictured) and the MusicaNova Orchestra present Finished Unfinished, a concert at the Musical Instrument Museum on Monday, January 22 at 7:00pm. KBACH's Greg Kostraba chatted with Maestro Cohen about the program, which includes Franz Schubert's most famous unfinished symphony, the Symphony #8, and the very first symphony by Anton Bruckner, once dubbed "Symphony 00."

Composer David Ludwig wrote a violin concerto as a wedding present for his bride, Bella Hristova, who will be performing it January 5-7 with Tito Muñoz and the Phoenix Symphony. KBACH's Greg Kostraba chatted with Bella and David about how they met, and about the surprises and hidden messages within the piece.
